we’ve reached summer,
and it’s holiday time. One way
of spending the time off you’ve
been looking forward to so
much is to come and visit the
Czech Republic. Let me tell you
that it’s absolutely gorgeous here in summer. There
are plenty of places in the sunny countryside to
relax and the towns don’t doze off in the summer
heat but instead off er lots of culture and a great
social life.
It’s not very often that a star of the silver screen leaves as
little behind her as did the actress Anna Letenská. And yet
her life story would be a great topic for a novel.
The person who we now wish to introduce is Fedor Gál. Unlike the other life
stories, we have brought to you, his begins in Terezín on Mar. 20, 1945. In the
ghetto, which during the war was used as a concentration camp for Jews from
all over Europe.
This season for the fi rst time Jáchymov will open its spa to families with children. Jáchymov
folk were always keen on children, but only this year have they managed to create suitable
conditions for them, says Spa Sales Director Ing. J. Vaňková.

the history of mankind a bottom fermented lager with
a wonderful tang, golden colour and thick snow-white
foam was brewed.Over two thirds of the beer in the
world was inspired by this exceptional brew, and still
today they are called pils, pilsner and even pilsener.
Pardubice is not just famous for its gingerbread, horses and hockey, or for being the cradle of Czech aviation.
It also has an exceptionally beautiful and welcoming historical centre. Another advantage is that it is easy to
get to the town by rail or road.
