In a new project, the Runczech.com running circuit, Prague International Marathon now offers runners six events in four of the Czech Republic’s beautiful cities. Whether you choose the big city race in historic Prague or the charming evening race in baroque Olomouc, running in the Czech Republic can be an unforgettable experience – for you as well as for your family and friends.

The Runczech.com running circuit begins with the Hervis Prague Half Marathon (31 March), which in the 13 years of its existence has become one of the top foot races in Europe. You, too, should try its course, which is one of the fastest in the world. The route of the race begins in Prague’s historic centre and leads along the River Vltava. The city’s most visited monuments will be on display, such as the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, the Rudolfinum concert hall and the Jewish Quarter.

If you are looking for a bigger challenge, there is the Volkswagen Prague Marathon (13 May). Join other runners from 89 countries and experience one of the most beautiful marathon courses in the world! The race begins and ends on the celebrated Old Town Square, just beneath the Astronomical Clock. The course runs through the medieval heart of the capital and will lead you also through other quarters. You may need only to slow down a tad to enjoy the exquisite historical sites even as you run the race.

Pragueis indisputably a magnificent city, but its true beauty only comes out at night.Thanks to the Mattoni Prague Grand Prix (8 September), you can take in this splendid city’s enchanting atmosphere. Bring your friends and family and enjoy a night run through the well-lit streets of Prague. Both experienced and casual runners will find it to their liking, as there are both 5 and 10 km lengths in order to suit everyone. You need not run your best time ever to make this race truly exceptional, as the city and its extraordinary atmosphere will ensure you of that!

For active travellers who would like to discover other places in the Czech Republic, the Runczech.com running circuit offers three more races in Moravia and Bohemia, with their rich culture and glorious ambience.

The Volkswagen Olomouc Half Marathon (23 June) offers an ideal way to enhance your vacation with friends and family. You can run the half marathon or one of the shorter distances to enjoy the summer dash through this Moravian baroque city, famous for its multitude of churches, unique astronomical clock, Holy Trinity Column and other exquisite monuments.

Bohemiais also worthy of a visit, and you can best explore it on foot. Discover the beauty of Northern Bohemia for the running of the Volkswagen Ústí Half Marathon (16 September) or join the Volkswagen České Budějovice Half Marathon (9 June), which is held in the largest city of Southern Bohemia, known as the home of the original Budweiser beer!
