Lidice and Ležáky

– places of tragedies, but also places of hope and heroism.

… And the Innocent Were Guilty
On 10 June 1942 the Nazis obliterated the village of Lidice in retaliation for the assasination of Reinhard Heydrich. The site od the village is a memorial site now, the emptiness of wich reminds us of the scale of the tragedy. Familiarising oneself with the history of the village of Lidice, global symbol of war crime victims, may serve as a lesson to future generations. Prewar life in Lidice as well as war events are presented to visitors through a modern multimedia interactive display …And innocent Were Guilty in the museum and in the exhibitionhall Pod Tribunou on the premises of the memorial. The exhibition is complemented by other exhibitions in the hall in Memoriam
