Even though it seems hard to believe, spring is fast approaching, bringing the onset of this year’s tourist season. So where should you go on your first spring trip? De. nitely to the region of subterranean streams, white rocks, interesting sights and excellent Černá Hora beer – to the Moravian Karst!
Tourist season in the Moravian Karst and its surroundings is traditionally opened by the towns of Blansko and Boskovice along with Černá Hora Brewery. As usual, this year it will be accompanied with many tasty delicacies and spiced up with some jolly japes. All the main events will again take place in the Černá Hora Brewery grounds on Apr. 5.
The actual beginning will be preceded by tourist hikes starting in Blansko and Boskovice, leading the participants to Černá Hora, where at 1 p.m. the new season will be offi cially opened at the brewery courtyard and the accompanying cultural programme will begin.
Traditionally, this ever more popular event is connected with an attempt at some new Czech record. This year is no exception, because the organisers wish to set a record for the number of people gathered holding a handle. So, if you have a handle, it doesn’t matter what type it is, but the bigger the better, then pack it in your rucksack and set off with the other “beautiful people with a handle” to welcome spring to the Moravian Karst.
